At Hastings Contemporary we bring world-class modern and contemporary art to a spectacular coastal setting. The gallery welcomes everybody and through our exhibitions, events and activities we aim to enrich lives, support creativity and help our town to thrive. Our ambitious programme of temporary exhibitions balances internationally celebrated artists and emerging practitioners. Our award-winning building is situated on the seafront in the heart of Hastings Old Town, among the famous net huts and fishing beach. Since 2012 (opening as the Jerwood Gallery) we have established ourselves as a celebrated cultural hub for the South East. We are open Wednesday to Sunday and bank holidays, from 11am–5pm. Members and under 18s go free. Hastings and Rother residents go half price.
CAFE
Located on the upper floor with a balcony and beautiful sea views, the cafe is open to gallery visitors during our opening times with a selection of hot drinks, sweet treats, light savoury dishes and bar drinks.
