Astronaut Academy at The Observatory Science Centre, Herstmonceux
Are you curious about space, the Universe, astronauts and aged between 7 - 11 years? Then why not hop onboard and join us for a half day workshop to discover, discuss and explore ideas of what it takes to become an astronaut. We will investigate with some exciting activities the challenges faced when reaching space.
From 'little to giant' steps taken to become an astronaut and working on the International Space Station, we will be engaging with experiments exploring the senses and discussing the effects of microgravity in space.
Let's investigate how science has helped people launch into space and what this has achieved.
