About

Concert at the Castle

We are a collective of local artists who are going to fill the cracks of Hastings Castle with creativity.

Concert at the Castle will present the performance of Judith Weir's mini-opera "King Harald's Saga"and then

- Local cellist Tara Franks and her duo Balladeste
- Vocal performance from Bev Lee Harling
- Synths and samples from Tullis Rennie
- New work by Iranian composer Davood Jafari

…which will all expand and experiment with the opera piece, exploring how we remember, what we remember, and what we forget…

This will all be augmented by interactive lighting designer Peter Hudson.
