The biggest family-friendly Reggae Festival returns this Summer at The Oval, Hastings on 18 September 2022.
Sunshine, an incredible line up, good vibes, great food and perfect for the family. Does that sound too good to believe? Well, maybe we can't promise sunshine but the rest, we've got you sorted. Hastings Reggae Festival returns this Summer on 18 September 2022 for the biggest family fun show in town, guaranteed to get the whole family smiling! Our show last year sold out and for good reason.
Expect an abundance of authentic Caribbean food stalls, plenty of bars and a truly magical fairground for the kids (and one for the adults!). Situated in Hasting's The Oval, this is the largest outdoor event space in the area and is a short walk from Hastings mainline station, with direct links to London and Brighton. The Oval is within the vicinity of the award-winning Pier, the Seafront, and the Old Town.
Gracing the stage, are the mighty UB40 featuring Ali Campbell. The Birmingham born reggae pop band formed in 1978, rising to meteoric levels in the 80s with the legendary tracks Red Red Wine, Kingston Town and Can't Help Falling in Love. UB40 are a global powerhouse, winning the 1985 NME Award for Best Reggae Act, being nominated for the Grammy Award four times, and releasing over 50 singles in the UK charts. All weaved together by UB40's incredible lead singer Ali Campbell, performing live at the festival. UB40's show will be in memory of former member Astro, who sadly passed away in November 2021.
South-East London reggae band, The Dualers will be bring those feel-good reggae beats to the show. Formed in the mid-90s, the group are known for their tunes Don't Go and Kiss On the Lips and have gone on to produce solid releases Red Light
The renowned Collie Buddz, Bermudian reggae and dancehall singer, songwriter and producer also joins the line-up, known for his hit tunes Love & Reggae, Come Around and Mamacita, Collie Buddz is guaranteed to get you jammin' all day long. All joined by Sister Nancy, Hollie Cook, Reggae Roast and The Marley Revival, bringing you a soulful reggae and roots experience.
We can't wait to welcome you and the family to Hasting Reggae Festival.
