Please be aware that if you plan to travel by train to Rye for the bonfire celebrations, Southern Railway have announced that Rye station will be closed from 3pm Saturday 12 November until the start of service on Sunday.
Rye Bonfire Night is organised by the Rye Bonfire Society. This hugely popular event draws large crowds and is popular with both adults and children.
Bonfire societies from all over Sussex come together to parade throught the streets with their drums and torches. The night concludes with a fireworks display (9pm).
