This summer the Sussex Guild will be returning to Michelham Priory, a 12th Century Priory with a Tudor extension, situated on a picturesque moated island. Enter through an impressive gatehouse and combine a visit to the past with talking to contemporary craft makers working today from whom you may buy directly or take the opportunity to commission bespoke items.
Guild members will be showing a wide range of contemporary crafts in marquees as well as in the Elizabethan barn and a working forge. You'll find ceramics, textiles, jewellery, leatherwork, wood, glass, metalwork & furniture on display and for sale. Some designers will be actively demonstrating their creative skills including several ceramic techniques, blacksmithing, lamp-worked glass, jewellery making, embroidery and quilting.
Explore seven acres of beautiful grounds, including the kitchen & physic gardens and a medieval herb garden. With free parking, a licensed Cafe, areas for children's play & picnics, this makes an ideal day out.
