HASTINGS ROCKS & THE PIPER PRESENTS
VIVA LA QUEENS
HASTINGS PIER - Thursday 2nd June
Continuing the success of the inaugural Jack the Pier event Hastings Rocks are back with not one, but two more Pier parties to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
Whatever your thoughts on the monarchy you can't deny that HRH Queen Elizabeth II is an icon of female power. For your pleasure, on Thursday 2nd June VIVA LA QUEENS presents a showcase that remixes the rock'n'roll spirit of the 1977 Silver Jubilee with some of East Sussex's most exciting emerging female talent alongside legendary presenters and DJs.
Come down from 2pm - 10pm to enjoy Projector, CLT DRP, Hotwax, Lambrini Girls and Message from The Ravens.
With diversity and representation at it's core VIVA LA QUEENS will have a number of stage side tables available for £8 (plus booking fee) per person but we are also really pleased to make the rest of the tickets available for free! No need to book - just show up on the day.
Fans of ethereal, witchy woos will be most pleased with the opening set from Message from the Ravens (surely an exemplary example of wonderful Hastings women) who will be closely followed by Lambrini Girls, described by Kerrang as "a cornerstone of Brighton's queer music scene". Later in the evening Hastings' answer to Queens of the Stoneage meets Hole, Hot Wax, will be taking to the stage followed by Brighton electro punks CLT DRP.
Brighton headliners Projector have the perfect balance of lush vocals and aggressive pre-grunge US indie - able to take on a myriad of influencers from classic alt-rock whilst creating a sound which is very much their own. We are very lucky to have them at Hastings Rocks while they are on the ascent - check out their energetic and impassioned latest single, 'Hell in my Head'.
VIVA LA QUEENS is kindly supported by The Piper St Leonards, Love Hastings,
