Thank you for viewing the PowderMills Hotel and Restaurant webpage. We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control the hotel has shut for a period of time to carry out essential works and we will be reopening in 2025. If you require any information please email info@powdermillshotel.com, and a member of the team will get back to you at the earliest opportunity.
Despite this temporary closure, vision for the PowderMills Hotel remains focused on a bright and prosperous future.
As an AA Quality Inspected four-star hotel recommended with Merit, PowderMills is a family-run country house hotel with a unique gunpowder making history.
We are set in 85 acres of fabulous grounds, woodland and lakes for you to explore and gain all the mental and physical health benefits this brings.
Our estate adjoins the 1066 battlefields and Battle Abbey which is a medium challenge walk around 4km (walking map, a pamphlet of our history and wellies are provided) and we love to welcome friendly and well-behaved dogs.
We combine traditional values with the very best of service and care and have an array of amenities including a 2 AA Rosette restaurant with James Piloni at the helm, a Gunpowder brasserie style menu and comfy lounges to relax in.
If you're feeling more energetic, beaches at Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea are just a 15-minute drive away. We believe this is why travellers choose us when visiting Battle or East Sussex and we look forward welcoming you very soon.
From London on the M25 take the A21 directions to Hastings. At John's cross take the A2100 to Battle. Drive through the town of Battle, take first turning right just before Battle train station into Powdermill Lane. Down the lane 1 mile. Hotel on the right hand side after sharp bend.
