About

Dating back to 1575, The George in Rye is a beautiful hotel in a picturesque town. Located in the High Street in medieval Rye, the Grade II listed hotel has become well-known as one of the most stunning hideaways on the south coast.  The focus of the bedrooms is on comfort and style - each one being individually designed with its own fabrics, colour scheme and bespoke furniture.  Beds are luxury Vispring and the linen is Italian Frette. Lefroy Brooks bathrooms boast roll top baths, chrome power showers and REN skincare products.

The George Grill, overlooking the high street, offers modern British food with European accents, served in friendly, relaxed surroundings.  The menu features Rye Bay fish and seafood, Romney Marsh lamb, Donald Russell steak and local vegetables, cooked predominantly in the wood-charcoal grill.  The extensive wine list boasts an excellent selection of wines from Kent and Sussex vineyards. The Dragon Bar is the social hub of Rye and champions local ales and ciders and wines as well as a selection of soft drinks.
