Join us for Passover!
Hastings Jews for Justice will be marking the Passover festival this year with a community 'seder' meal and everyone is invited.
For thousands of years across the globe, the Jewish people have celebrated Passover and told the story of Exodus as a reminder that we have not always been free.
Today, we affirm that true freedom is never dependent on the oppression and occupation of another people and every generation must join the struggle 'to move from slavery to freedom'.
The Freedom for All Seder is an initiative of a global coalition of Jewish groups in the UK, USA, Switzerland, Italy and Israel/Palestine which stands in solidarity with Palestinians and all oppressed peoples because of our Judaism, not in spite of it.
Join us to be part of this special evening.
Our guests can expect a warm welcome on the night in an inclusive space where we will discuss the Passover story and eat together.
We will be serving only vegan food, and have an accessible venue, but would love to hear from you if you experience particular barriers that might limit your involvement and enjoyment.
We just want people to come, whatever your background, political views or religious beliefs, come, share an evening with us, we look forward to meeting you.
Everyone will be able to follow and take an active part in the service.
Children are a welcome and very important part of the evening so we hope families will join us too.
Tickets are just £5 pp (to cover costs), and guests are invited to bring a cash donation on the night for the collection, which will be for Hastings Friends of Al Mawasi.
We look forward to sharing Passover together, strengthening our community bonds and reaffirming our commitment to fight for collective liberation for all peoples.
