This year's festival is showcasing 60 films, including 6 feature-length ones. They've been made locally (see Mother & Wild), across the UK and around the world. Please see our programme for further information.
HASTINGS ROCKS FILM FESTIVAL is back 14th, 15th and 16th of April.
This year we are screening no less than 60 short films and 6 feature-length ones at the PRINTWORKS and BLACK BOX venues. The festival programme is online at www.rocksfestivals.com/hriff-screening and tickets can be bought at www.filmfreeway.com/HastingsRocks/tickets.
Many of the films are by Hastings-based filmmakers who will be thrilled to share their work with you. We also have – STOP THE PRESS – the comedian JO BRAND attending *in person*. Jo Brand grew up in Hastings and will no doubt have wonderful stories to share about her path to stardom following the screening on Sunday the 16th of her deeply moving film "The More You Ignore Me." Set in the 1980s, it is the story of a mentally ill matriarch of a dysfunctional family who finds a plan for happiness with the help of her Morrissey-mad daughter. The event ends with an 80 Morrissey medley by local troubadour Jason McNiff.
Individual tickets can be purchased for all of our sessions depending on what grabs your fancy and be certain not to miss out on the Sunday spectacular!
Thanks and see you soon! James, Archie, Sarah & Team
