Offering a 4-week course aimed at those with an understanding of the basics in astronomy. It will take an in depth look at stars and galaxies, introduce you to cosmology and give you an understanding of where we are in the Wider Universe.
Some astronomy and or physics knowledge is assumed because it will address some harder to grasp subjects like cosmology which will include the Big Bang. It will also introduce you to our place in the Universe; a Universe that contains about 2 trillion galaxies!
While mainly classroom based, the course is also designed so that you can take advantage of The Centre's historic telescopes if the weather allows.
