Shear Barn Touring & Camping

About

Shear Barn Holiday Park is positioned amongst Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve, surrounded by miles of rural scenic walks and only a 15-minute walk to the seafront and beach. The park has excellent on-site facilities including an indoor heated swimming pool, two bars and a restaurant, and an outdoor play area. The House Bar is the smaller, pet-friendly bar. The Retreat, and Butchers Hook are the main bar and restaurant, serving a fresh, locally sourced menu of favourites, and hosting live weekend-entertainment throughout the main holiday season.

Our pitches vary in size and include enough space for your tent, trailer tent, touring caravan or motorhome, plus a car, gazebo or awning. Our hardstanding pitches are composed of a gravel/concrete plot for your tourer and a surrounding area of grass for your awning. Camping guests are welcome to pitch up in the tent field at the top area in the touring field.

Facilities include modern amenity blocks, a disabled-friendly wet room attached to the central toilet block, chemical waste and grey water disposable, and an outdoor children’s play area. Throughout the day touring wardens are available to check you in and for your assistance, during the evening on-site security patrol and protect the site, protective entrance controls add an additional level of security to the park.

Hastings is a Victorian seaside resort with olde-worlde charm, a pier full of amusements and popular beaches. Synonymous with the battle of 1066 which actually took place in the surrounding countryside, visitors can discover Britain’s first Norman castle ruins. The Old Town offers quaint narrow passageways, filled with shops and eateries. Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve offers glorious open spaces, scenery and abundant wildlife.
